As we enter a new year, I find myself reminiscing to my days as a youth growing up in a small church. We would gather together at the church on New Year’s eve and play a few games and just in general have a time of fellowship. Then about 11:30’ish or so we would head upstairs to the sanctuary and have a brief service and enter the new year in prayer.
Those days are long gone, but I still find it good to enter the new year in prayer. Whether it is as the clock strikes midnight ushering in the new year, or in the days leading up to the new year, we should take time to ask God’s blessing on the year and seek His guidance for our lives and our ministries.
As we enter the new year, seek His will, and we pray that God will use you in ways that you never imagined as you disciple the next generation.
